First Blog

The first of next years garlic is up, planted on 26th October and we are so pleased that we planted on ridges, otherwise with all this rain some of it would have been under water at times even on this free draining soil. The long mild autumn means that the weeds have kept growing which will be a challenge next year.  We dont use herbicides on growing crops.  The first 2000 Larkspur sown in modules in October are well established and should give us some earlier flowers than last years. The rest will be sown in modules in the spring.
